Platerodrilus svetae Kazantsev, 2009: 56 .

Type material. Holotype ♂, ‘ N Borneo, Kinabalu, 1500–1700 m, 19.VI.1995, S. Kazantsev leg.’, ‘ Holotype’, ‘ Platerodrilus svetae sp. nov., S. Kazantsev des. 2009’ ( ICM) ; Paratype ♂, ‘E Malaysia, Sabah, Mt. Kinabalu , 1600–1700 m, 16–30.VII.2002, S. Kurbatov & S. Zimina leg.’, ‘ Paratype’, ‘ Platerodrilus svetae sp. nov., S. Kazantsev des. 2009’ ( ICM) .

Remarks. Platerodrilus svetae , being similar in general appearance to P. apicalis Pic, 1936 and P. piceicollis Pic, 1943 , also from Borneo, can be separated from both by the narrow, parallel-sided antennomeres, distinguishable from the former also by the different type of the aedeagus. The second species, P. piceicollis , from an unidentified locality on Borneo, which was erroneously cited as originating from India and not used for comparison ( Kazantsev, 2009), cannot be attributed to any aedeagus-based group due to the absence of abdomen in the unique type specimen ( Masek et Bocak, 2014).
