Sipyloidea biplagiata Redtenbacher, 1908
Sipyloidea biplagiata, Redtenbacher, 1908: 544 .
Types. Syntypes: 1Ƌ & 1♀, Than-Moi , Tonkin ( Vietnam), Juni-Juli, Fruhstorfer, H., no. 1079 ( NHMW) ; 1Ƌ, 610– 914m, Mt. Mauson , Tonkin ( Vietnam), April-Mai, Fruhstorfer, H., no. 1079 ( NHMW). = Asceles longzhouensis Chen & He, 2000: 395 [Formerly treated as synonym of Sipyloidea sipylus by Chen & He, 2008: 176]
Distribution. Hainan (Bawangling and Yinggeling), Guangdong and Hunan, China and Vietnam (Type locality).
Notes. This is a new record of species in Hainan. Chen and He (2008: 176) synonymised Asceles longzhouensis Chen & He, 2000 with Sipyloidea sipylus (Westwood, 1859) . In fact, A. longzhouensis is identical to the male Sipyloidea biplagiata Redtenbacher, 1908 and is here removed from synonymy with S. sipylus .
