Types. Holotype: Ƌ, 620–650m, Mengla , Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China, 10.VI.1959, Zhang Fa-Cai ( IZCAS) ; Paratypes: 1♀, 620–650m, Mengla , Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China, 10.VI.1959, Pu Fu-Ji ( IZCAS) ; 1Ƌ, Jianfengling , Hainan, China, 8.IX.1982, Liang Cheng-Feng ( IZCAS) .
Notes. Chen and He (2008: 111) placed this species in Aruanoidea Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1893 , which is a junior synonym of Necroscia Audinet-Serville, 1838 (Hennemann, 1998) . Abdominal structure of both sexes show a close relationship with Asceles Redtenbacher, 1908 and it is appropriate to place this species in Asceles . Distribution. Hainan (Jianfengling) and Yunnan (Mengla), China.
