Note: The application of this name is uncertain. Sherff (in Bot. Gaz. 59: 311. 1915; Publ. Field Mus. Nat. Hist., Bot. Ser. 16: 644. 1937), noting 975.4 (LINN) and determinations of two collections on the sheet by Schultz Bipontinus, excluded it from Bidens . Although Felicia and Glossocardia have been suggested as possible generic identities for these collections, original material may well exist in G.
