Distribution

This species can be considered an Iberian endemism. The original description places it in Seville ( Ferrández 1982) and it had not been found again until the studies in the Parque Natural do Vale do Guadiana ( Cardoso 2004, Cardoso et al. 2009) which provide eight more localities, all of them in the District of Beja. Our finding confirms its presence in this part of Portugal and suggests that H. minoccii is distributed in the south-western part of the Iberian Peninsula, although, for the time being, we can consider it a rare species.
