Psilometriocnemus Saether, 1969 View in CoL

Psilometriocnemus triannulatus Saether, 1969 is the only species known in the Nearctic. Sikes et al. (2016) reported larvae from St. Matthew Island. Our records include adults from Lena Point near Juneau in early June, and larval specimens from Water Lake near Thorne Bay on Prince of Wales Island, a tributary to Mud Bay on Kruzof Island, and Lucille Creek near Wasilla. We also collected this species from the Southwestern region, in a tributary to the South Fork of the Koktuli River and a spray zone on Unalaska Island. This is a new faunistic record for Alaska. Larvae in this genus have been found in seeps, damp soil, and springs (Andersen et al. 2013).
