Tanypus Meigen, 1803 View in CoL
We collected Tanypus punctipennis Meigen, 1818 larval specimens from small ponds in the Slikok Watershed in Kenia National Wildlife Refuge, a small portion of the Central bioregion that extends into the Southcoastal bioregion on the Kenai Peninsula. This region is a forested area intermixed with small lakes and bogs. Also, a possibly undescribed species was collected at Lakeview Campground on Yarger Lake off Highway 2 southeast of Northway Junction ( Arctos 2023).
