Current status. Junior objective synonym of Chalcophana Chevrolat, 1836 ( SEENO & WILCOX 1982: 65).
Comments. Lycaste Gistel, 1848 was proposed as an unnecessary new replacement name for Chalcophana Chevrolat, 1836 ( GISTEL 1848a). Moreover, Lycaste Gistel, 1848 is a homonym of Lycaste Gistel, 1834 in Buprestidae and Lycaste Agassiz, 1846 in Crustacea.
