Current status. Junior objective synonym of Caryedes Hummel, 1827 View in CoL (see BOROWIEC 1987, UDAYGIRI & WADHI 1989).

Comments. Pedapholus Gistel, 1848 was proposed as a new replacement name for Pachymerus Schönherr, 1833 (not Thunberg, 1805) ( GISTEL 1848b).
