Material examined. BRAZIL – São Paulo • Iperó, Ipanema River ; 23°22.40′S, 049°38.51′W; 560 m alt.; 10.I.2014; W.S. Smith and L. Halcsik leg.; hand nets; LEEF 115145 , LEEF 115164 (3 spec., 21.0−23.0 mm SL). Identification. Body elongated; mouth terminal; premaxilla with 9 teeth, dentary with 10 or 11 teeth and no maxillary teeth. Lateral line with 32–36 pored scales; transversal series above lateral line with 4½ or 5 scale rows and below with 4 or 4½ scale rows. Dorsal fin with 7 rays, pectoral fin with 14 or 16, pelvic fin with 10, anal fin with 5–7 rays, and caudal fin with 19 rays. Ground color pale yellow; dark-brown longitudinal stripe from humeral spot to caudal peduncle; 8–10 dark brown trans- versal bars on flank; black spot on the base of median caudal-fin rays; hyaline fins (Batista-Silva et al. 2018) GoogleMaps .
