Subfamily Cebinae Bonaparte, 1831 View in CoL
The subfamily Cebinae includes capuchins ( Cebus ), medium-sized monkeys with prehensile tails, and squirrel monkeys ( Saimiri ), which are much smaller and have nonprehensile tails. Two species of capuchins and one species of squirrel monkey are represent- ed in the voucher material that we examined from the Yavarí-Ucayali interfluve.
