Remarks. Currently, Orchestina includes 162 species that are distributed worldwide ( World Spider Catalog 2023). The genus was established based on the type species Schoenobates pavesii Simon, 1873 from France. This genus can be easily distinguished from other genera by the absence of scutum on the dorsum of abdomen, and a well-developed femur IV enabling it to jump ( Ono 2009; Izquierdo & Ramírez 2017).
