Type species: Ulodes verrucosus Erichson, 1842: 181 , by monotypy. = Ulodica Pascoe, 1869: 31 . Type species: Ulodica hispida Pascoe, 1869: 32 , by monotypy. Synonymy by Carter, 1926c: 119.

Distribution: Australia.

Note. The name “ Ulodes peltoideus Fairmaire ”, listed at various sites on the web was not located in the literature we examined.

Included species (2): U. hispidus ( Pascoe, 1869: 32 [ Ulodica ], present combination by Carter, 1926c: 134), U. verrucosus Erichson, 1842: 181 (= Ulodes variicornis Hope, 1843: 359 , synonymy by Carter 1926c: 134).
