Type.

IRAN, Luristan, Chah-Bazan, Köie 1301 (lectotype C, designated by Sa’ad 1967: 97; isolectotype B).

Description.

Undershrub with woody taproot, from which arise many rigid branched stems to c 40 cm, stems minutely adpressed pilose, the hairs resembling cystoliths. Leaves sessile, 10-30 × 0.5 mm, filiform, acute, adpressed pubescent. Flowers 1-3 in long-pedunculate, axillary and terminal dichasial cymes; peduncles up to 20 cm long, straight, slender and not very rigid; bracteoles 1-2 × 0.25 mm, filiform; sepals 5-6 × 4 mm, obovate-elliptic, apiculate, glabrous; corolla1.4-1.5, colour unknown, midpetaline bands pubescent; ovary comose; style divided 2 mm above base; stigmas 3 mm. Notes.

Appears to be close to Convolvulus leptocladus but is distinguished by its filiform leaves, pubescent ovary and longer, oblong sepals.
