DIAGNOSIS. This species is easily distinguished from other members of the group by the presence of a conspicuous cubital pecten on the HW.
REDESCRIPTION. MALE. FW length 8.0–9.5 mm (mean = 9.2; n = 8). HEAD: Frons concave, unscaled (membrane transparent), vertex smooth, straw yellow, hood present, concolorous with vertex. Antenna pale yellow with white scales. Labial palpus mostly dark golden honey laterally, beige on inner surface, length 1.0X the distance between antennae, tightly appressed to frons: second segment enlarged. THORAX: Dorsum smooth scaled, ground color straw yellow, tegula concolorous. FW with costal fold narrow (0.02 mm), 0.25 length of FW. Ground straw yellow, two small patches of dark scales at postmedian fascia at R2. Termen slightly produced, fringe yellowish. HW beige. Cubital pecten present, densely scaled. ABDOMEN: Straw yellow. Genitalia as in Fig. 89 (slide # 2798281, INBio, Costa Rica, Puntarenas, Sirena; n = 4). Uncus well developed, thin, curved apically, with subtriangular base. Transtilla rectangular, spines numerous over middle posterior margin. Valva rounded. Sacculus sclerotized, 0.6X length valva, extending to margin of valva, slightly emarginate in basal 0.33. Aedeagus stout, bent ca. 0.6 distance from base.

DISTRIBUTION AND BIOLOGY. Amorbia decerptana has been collected in Panama, Guatemala, and Costa Rica (Fig. 138), from ca. 200 to 600 m elevation. The early stages are unknown.
