Material examined. 1 male ( HIST), China: Yunnan Province, Tongbiguan, Jinzhuzhai, 24.6122 N, 97.6567 E, 2012. V.3, Light trap. Yuanye Liu; 1 male ( CAU), China: Yunnan Province, Mengla County, 21.4593 N, 101.5646 E, 2011. IV.29, Light trap, Yan Li.
Remarks. The specimen from Tongbiguan ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 a) agrees well with illustrations and descriptions of Sivec and Zwick (1987, figs. 9–11). The specimen from Menglun ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 b), seems also very similar to N. lui in details of the aedeagal armatures, but these features were not illustrated in the original figures (Figs. c & d in Du and Sivec 2004). The specific status of this species in N. cavaleriei complex is unresolved ( Li et al. 2012). The spelling of the specific name cavaleriei had been problematic ( Sivec and Zwick 1987), and followed by Li et al. (2012).
Distribution. It has been recorded from Southeast Asia including Vietnam, Thailand and China.
