Type species: Bathyglycinde mexicana Fauchald, 1972 . Gender: female.
Diagnosis: (See: Böggemann 2022.) Segments uni- or biannulate. Prostomium smooth or indistinctly annulated; tip with biarticulate appendages. Proboscis with several different types of papillae, arranged in distinct longitudinal rows; macrognaths and dorsal micrognaths present; chevrons absent. First segment sometimes with only a pair of small lateral cirri and without parapodia or chaetae. Anterior part of body with uniramous parapodia, following region with biramous parapodia. Notochaetae capillaries; neurochaetae compound spinigers.
