Remarks.
Heller and Sivan (2002a: 49) considered the taxon as a junior synonym of Melanopsis multiformis Blanckenhorn, 1897. Heller et al. (2005: 244) in turn considered it as a junior synonym of Melanopsis costata (Olivier, 1804).
