Pronotum broad with rounded corners and medial impression, 1.0x as long as wide, widest at middle, disc without keels, dorsal punctures as on head, also without setation, lateral margins with short erect and acute setae, lateral margin completely unbordered; prothoracic hypomera with finer, sparser punctures than on pronotum, without setation. Elytra elongate-oval, widest at middle, 1.8x as long as wide, humeral angles rounded without tooth, elytra without rows of punctures or keels, surface wrinkled, without setation, lateral margins with erect short, acute setae, lateral margins rounded and unbordered, epipleura without row of punctures. Ventrites with extremely fine, scattered punctures, last ventrite without denser, larger punctures than on anterior ventrites, without setation, surface of all ventrites shining. Aedeagus as in Fig. 8 View FIGURES 7–12 , with long parallel apicale with rounded apex, basale long, narrow.
Etymology. Named in honour of the late René Fouquè (Liberec), expert on the tribe Stenosini , and collector of the type series.
Remarks. Some specimens were mounted by René on a card together with ants, so very probably this species can be considered as myrmecophilous.
