Remark. This species belongs to the Alpheus paracrinitus Miers, 1881 species complex, but shows a distinct distribution pattern compared to A. paracrinitus . This species is distinguishable from A. paracrinitus by absence of balaeniceps on minor chela. Geographically, A. paracrinitus is an amphi-Atlantic species while A. alpheopsides occurs in the Indo-West Pacific.
