Common name: Pr: Loch-e tajdar-e Beshar, Sagmahi-ye tajdar-e Beshar, En: Beshar crested loach.
Diagnosis: Dorsal fin origin at about one eye diameter behind a vertical of pelvic fin origin.
Meristic characters: D: 7, A: 5, P: 9–10, V: 5–6, LL: complete, SC: just flank behind dorsal fin origin, DP: small and blunt, PA: present, SOG: absent.
Distribution: Tigris basin ( Fig. 337). Found in Bashar River.
Taxonomy.
Conservation: IUCN: Not Evaluated, PC: Data Deficient. The lack of information on this species distribution range and population size make it impossible to objectively assess its conservation status.

R.], Eagderi [S.], Patimar [R.] & Freyhof [J.] 2015: 340; Type locality: Golestan province, Zarrin-Gol stream, a tributary of Gordan River, 36°50'39"N, 54°58'24"E, Iran. Holotype: ZM-CBSU J3246. Paratypes: FSJF 3458 (43), 3221(45), GUIC 1011(1), 10112 (13), TUIC 10001–1 (25), ZM-CBSU J2917 (2), J3247 (24), J2672 (17).
Common name: Pr: Loch-e tajdar-e Hircani, Sagmahi-ye tajdar-e Hircani, En: Hircan crested loach.
Diagnosis: Absence of scales on the body, a moderate to deeply emarginate caudal fin, a fine marbled or vermiculate brown colour pattern on the flank, and dark brown caudal fin rays with a hyaline anterior and distal margin.
Meristic characters: D: 7, A: 5, P: 8–10, V: 6–7, LL: complete, SC: naked, DP: large and blunt, PA: present, SOG: absent.
Distribution: Caspian basin ( Fig. 339). Found in Gorgan rud, Zarin gol and Madarso Rivers.
Taxonomy.
Conservation: IUCN: Not Evaluated, PC: Least Concern. This species is widespread with no known widespread threat across its distribution range.
