Formerly L. pectoralis View in CoL reported from the Iranian part of Tigris basin ( Esmaeili et al. 2010, Jouladeh-Roudbar et al. 2015b), we checked the suspected specimen from several ichthyological museums (i.e., MMTT, IMNRF-UT, etc.) and fresh specimens (by molecular markers, i.e., COI and Cyt b) but all of them belong to the other species like L. barbulus View in CoL . It seems distribution of this species is restricted to Orontes River basin.
