Ecology and habitat in Iran: soil under common reed ( Phragmites sp. ) and white poplar trees.
Remarks: Cox 1982, Daghighi et al. 2013 a and Falahati et al. 2013a mentioned this species as Isotomina pontica but in the last generic combination it is considered as Hemisotoma pontica .
General distribution: cosmopolitan ( Potapov 2001).
