Tettigades dumfriesi Distant 1920: 169 View in CoL (type material examined).
Type locality. Argentine side of the Andes , about 6,000 ft (1829 m) above sea level.
Remarks. The species is known only from Argentina with specimens collected in Chubut, Mendoza, and Río Negro Provinces ( Torres 1958a). We collected specimens in Mendoza, Neuquén and Río Negro Provinces. The species is associated with the Monte and Patagonian floristic provinces ( Sanborn et al. 2011a).
