Type Locality: Micronesia, Caroline Isls, Palau Isls (= Pelew Isls).

Vernacular Names: Large Pelew Flying Fox.

Distribution: Pelew Isls ( Micronesia).

Conservation: CITES – Appendix I. IUCN / SSC Action Plan (1992) and IUCN 2003 – Extinct.

Discussion: pselaphon species group. Known from only two specimens and presumed to be extinct; see Flannery (1995 b).
