Liothrips bournierorum Han View in CoL

( Figs 70 View FIGURES 69–79 , 97 View FIGURES 97–102 )

Liothrips bournierorum Han, 1993: 201 View in CoL .

Described from Sichuan, Southern China, this species is unusual in having only the epimeral setae well developed on the pronotum, the other setae especially the pa being minute. The sculpture on the metanotum is not typical of Liothrips View in CoL , with thick longitudinal striae medially and polygonal reticulation laterally ( Fig. 70 View FIGURES 69–79 ). This was not mentioned in the original description. A pore plate cannot be observed on sternite VIII of the only available male because the specimen is squashed and contaminated. The antennae, head and fore wings are similar to the females and there is no fore tarsal tooth.

Specimens studied. CHINA, Sichuan, Moxi, Luding County, holotype female on Tsuga chinensis , 9.vi.1983, Yunqi Cui ( NZMC); paratypes 8 females and 1 male with the same data as holotype ( NZMC) .
