Material examined. No potential Cramer specimens located.

Current status. Valid species in Papilio (Princeps) ( Häuser et al., 2003) . [ Ackery et al. (1995) propose that an application to ICZN be made to conserve this wellknown name over Papilio doreus Fabricius, 1775 , which would have priority if ICZN Opinion 516 was strictly applied.]
