Pap[ilio] Eq[ues] Achiv[us] demoleus, Cramer, 1779: 6 5, 174, pl.231, figs A, B [original plate 200, figs A, A] (sensu Linnaeus, 1767; nec 1758: misidentification, = Papilio demodocus Esper, 1798 ). Cape of Good Hope [= South Africa] (both sexes in Cramer’s collection; mentioned in the description of erithonius Cramer).

Papilio Eques View in CoL Trojanus demoleus, Stoll, 1782b: 2 [No. 31].

Material examined. No potential Cramer specimens located in BMNH. There is a possible Cramer specimen in RNHL.

Identity. Papilio (Princeps) demodocus Esper, 1798 .
