NOTES: In the article on the Mycetozoa of Antigua and Dominica, Lister (1898a: 117), describes specimens gathered by Mr. William Cran, Principal of Coke College, Antigua, in the latter part of 1896 and in 1897, both on the island of Antigua, and with a small number of specimens obtained during a short visit to Dominica. The specimen of the new variety was found “On palm-leaf, Dominica ” and he comments “the single gathering consists of a few ellipsoid sporangia, and a number of branching or anastomosing plasmodiocarps”.

In BM two boxes were located (Cran 92 and BM 1643 ) from Dominica from the same date. We designate the first as the lectotype as it is in the best condition and has the reference to notebook XIV: 101 where we found detailed notes and drawings (100–102, 101 A). We designate the other box specimen as an isolectotype. There is an additional mounted fragment in the holotype box (92α.2.) from Antigua .
