NOTES: G. Lister (1924: 17) in Mycetozoa from North India, comments on collections obtained from Mrs. J. Drake.

The type locality of the new variety given is “On much decayed wood, Thindharia, Oct. 1915 ”.

In BM there are 3 boxes with the same number (BM 3807), from Tindharai, D.H. Raily, but from different dates.

One has only a number on the box, another that we designate as the lectotype has all the data of the publication and a revision label, and the third is from “9.1915” and not “ Oct. 1915 ” as stated in the publication, and we consider this to be a syntype. No slides were located. There are comments and illustrations in notebook BM4 : 121A–123. In notebooks

XLII: 97 and XLIII: 61 we found the reprint of the publication and notes on other material from the same. The species

P. viride is very variable in colour and the var. hinnuleum , proposed for its fawn-coloured sporocarps and lime knots,

is no longer considered to have taxonomic value.
