Description of gonopod (modified from Magalhães et al. 2010). Straight in both caudal, lateral views, with proximal protuberance on lateral side; distal part flattened mesiolaterally, distinctly bent in cephalic direction; spermatic channel opening on cephalic side. Marginal suture situated on mesial side, straight along most of stem, curved to cephalic side distally in mesial view, with row of marginal setae proximally. Proximal portion of mesiocaudal side with short row of setae. Subdistal portion of lateral, cephalic sides with a very weakly developed field of scattered minute spines. Marginal process (apical lobe sensu Smalley, 1964b) simple, narrow, distal border nearly straight. Lateral suture incomplete, marked by a rather deep sulcus on the proximal half of the caudal side. Distal portion of mesial border produced into a large, slightly concave mesial lobe. Apex with a narrow lateral lobe bearing a very weakly developed field of apical spines on its internal surface, a central papilla partially bordering the spermatic channel opening,, a minute subtriangular, sharp tip. G2 slender, thinner along distal quarter, nearly as long as G1.

Holotype and type locality. Male, cw 25.5, cl 15.7, UCR-MZ 2399. Costa Rica, Puntarenas Province, Buenos Aires County, Grande de Térraba River basin, unnamed tributary of Cañas River, near Santa María (Pacific drainage).
