Description of Nocardia soli YC View in CoL 6-12
Cells are Gram-staining-positive, non-flagellated, non-pigmented and fragmented mycelium. Colonies are circular, convex, entire and whitish pink-colored after 5 days on IPS2 About IPS at 30° C. Esculin hydrolysis is weakly positive in API 20NE but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease and gelatinase and β-galactosidase. N-Acetyl-glucosamine and gluconate are weakly utilized. Does not utilize D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannitol, D-mannose, D-maltose, caprate, adipate, malate, citrate and phenylacetate. Strain YC 6-12 (= NIBRBA000498652) has been isolated from Yongcheon Cave , Jeju, Korea .
