Acledra punctata Reed, 1898 nomen dubium

Remarks: the type series of this species is lost, as are many others of Reed. Berg (1900) wrote that this species should be examined, arguing the insufficient description of Reed (1898); Prado (1991) without justification listed it as “doubtful species”; and more lately ( Prado 2008) listed it as a valid species. We prefer to treat it as nomen dubium until the type series appears; without these specimens it is impossible to known the status of this species within Acledra or if it really belongs to this genus.
