Type Locality: Colombia, Cauca Dept., Cerro Munchique, 8225 ft (2507 m).
Vernacular Names: Colombian Rhipidomys.
Distribution: Middle to high elevations, 2200-3500 m, W Andes of Colombia.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (nt).
Discussion: R. fulviventer section sensu Tribe (1996). A small species morphologically similar to R. wetzeli ( Tribe, 1996).
