Habitat in Canada. Kalm. ☉

Radix fibrosa, parva. Caulis pedalis, ramis superne alternis, subdivisus in paniculam floriferam. Stipulae solitariae, vaginales, superne latiores, integrae, truncatae nec fissae. Folia linearia, glabra. Paniculam terminant Spicae filiformes, angustissimae, imbricatae bracteis vaginalibus, turbinatis, truncatis: ex sinu singulo oritur pedunculus solitarius, capillaris, basi articulatus, coloratus, uniflorus. Corolla incarnata, quinquepartita, fundo laxiore quam in P. aviculari; staminibus octo, Pistillo stylis 3.
