Conservation status

Least Concern for European assessment ( Hochkirch et al. 2016).

Distribution

Central and eastern Europe, widespread from Asia to Siberia. In Italy, it is widespread in the northern part, but rare in the Alpine arc ( Iorio et al. 2019, Massa et al. 2012).

Notes

The species is typical of wet grassland, where it lives in the high vegetation. The adults can be found from June to October. In Italy, it seems to be in decline ( Massa et al. 2012).
