Type Locality: St. Vincent (Lesser Antilles, UK).

Vernacular Names: Antillean Fruit-eating Bat.

Subspecies Brachyphylla cavernarum subsp. minor Miller 1913

Distribution: Puerto Rico, Virgin Isls and throughout Lesser Antilles south to St. Vincent and Barbados.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Includes minor ; see Swanepoel and Genoways (1978) and Varona (1974). Reviewed by Swanepoel and Genoways (1983 a) and Timm and Genoways (2003).
