Taxonomy. New record from Lebanon, based on photos of several individuals landed from various parts of Lebanon between 2015 and 2018 .

Distribution. Mediterranean Sea, eastern Atlantic: Morocco south to Angola, including Canary Islands. Conservation. IUCN: Global (DD: 17 November 2016); Med. (DD: 1 January 2008). Capture and threats: FIT, Unknown. Occurrence: Rare. Medium priority for conservation action.
