Pseudoparasitus mooiensis: Karg, 1978: 210 ; 1981a: 211.

Specimens examined: Site 94­13, 2 females; Site 94­14, 18 females.

Ololaelaps mooiensis was described from soil near Potchefstroom ( Ryke, 1962c). Other species of Ololaelaps are found in soil and leaf litter, and in the nests of small mammals ( Bregetova & Koroleva, 1964), where they are presumed to be predatory.
