Pepsis deaurata Mocsáry

BRAZIL: State of Acre, east of Cruzeiro do Sul, Reserva Extrativista Riozinho da Liberdade; 28 May 2008; P. S. Bernarde. Host: Avicularia rufa Schiapelli and Gerschman (Theraphosidae) , juvenile. The wasp dragged the paralyzed tarantula on the ground, ventral side upward, grasping its left side with her mandibles ( Bernarde 2008; P. S. Bernarde, Universidade Federal do Acre, Cruzeiro do Sul, State of Acre, Brasil, 2017 pers. comm.).

ECUADOR: Napo and Pastaza Provinces, Yasuní National Park; no date; Superstock. Host: Psalmopoeus sp. ( Theraphosidae ), adult or subadult female. The wasp grasped the paralyzed tarantula as it laid on the ground, dorsal side upward, grasping its left hindcoxa with her mandibles ( Superstock 2018).

FRENCH GUIANA: Sa̹l Commune; 3 May 2020; W. Knaepen (wouterknaepen), Host Phoneutria cf reidyi (F. O. P.-Cambridge) ( Ctenidae ) (Brazilian Amazonian armed spider), adult or subadult female. The wasp dragged the paralyzed wandering spider backwards on the ground, dorsal side upward, grasping the base of its chelicera with her mandibles ( Knaepen 2020).

PERU: Cusco Region, Urubamba Province, Inca trail between Phuyupatamarca and Wiñay Wayna, (~2800 M); 29, April 2007; E. Smith. Host: Unidentified species ( Theraphosidae ), adult or subadult female. The wasp dragged the paralyzed tarantula backwards on the ground, ventral side upward, grasping its pedicel with her mandibles (A. M. Smith, Hastings, UK, 2020 pers. comm.).

Avicularia sp., adult or subadult female. The wasp dragged the paralyzed tarantula backwards on the ground, ventral side upward, grasping the base of its right coxa with her mandibles ( Farroñay 2019) .
