NM: Los Alamos/Sandoval County, near Los Alamos, Bandelier National Monument; no date; S. King. Host: Hogna carolinensis (Walckenaer) (Carolina wolf spider) ( Lycosidae ), penultimate male. The spider was 1.1 times longer than the wasp in body length. The wasp examined the paralyzed wolf spider with her antennae as it laid dorsal side upward on the ground (King, no date; S. King, U. S. National Park Service, Bandelier National Monument, Los Alamos, NM, 2017 pers. comm.).
TX: Cottle County (west), near Paducah, Matador Wildlife Management Area ; 28 September 2015; M. Poole . Host: Hogna carolinensis species group, subadult female or juvenile. The wasp was 1.1 times longer than the spider in body length. The wasp examined the paralyzed wolf spider, which was headfirst and vertically upright, with her antennae. She then grasped the spider with her mandibles and dragged it backwards on the ground ( Poole 2015).
MEXICO: Chihuahua State, Janos Reserva de la Biosphera ; 26 September 2012, 1045 ( CDT); J. A. Salazar Ortiz. Host: Hogna carolinensis species group, penultimate or subadult female. The wasp was 1.4 times longer than the spider in body length. The wasp examined the paralyzed wolf spider with her antennae and mouthparts as it laid dorsal side upward on the ground after stinging and subduing it ( Salazar Ortiz 2012) .
MEXICO: Mexico City, Carrasco Section ; 24 July 2017; I. Cipactli. Host: Unidentified species ( Lycosidae ), penultimate male. The wasp grasped the paralyzed wolf spider by its chelicerae with her mandibles, ventral side upward, and dragged it backwards on the ground ( Cipactli 2017) .
