Priocnemis (Priocnemissus) oregona Banks

CANADA: British Columbia, Lumby; posted 14 May 2019, K. Greyhurst. Host: Antrodiaetus hageni (Chamberlin) (Antrodiaetidae) , adult or subadult female. A series of photographs shows the wasp straddling and stinging the folding trapdoor spider then standing near the paralyzed spider as it laid on the ground, dorsal side upward (Greyhurst 2020; K. Greyhurst, Lumby, BC, Canada, 2020 pers. comm.).

CA: San Mateo County, El Corte de Madera Creek Preserve; 1 June 2017; J. Lee (jaemin.lee0622). Host: Aliatypus cf californicus (Banks) ( Antrodiaetidae ), adult or subadult female. The wasp pulled the paralyzed folding trapdoor spider backward over leaf litter on the ground, dorsal side upward, grasping the base of its second left leg with her mandibles ( Lee, 2017; M. Hedin, San Diego State University, San Diego, CA, 2020 pers. comm.).

CA: San Mateo County, Purisima Creek Redwoods Preserve ; 2 July 2017; M. Tan (insextimacy). Host: Aliatypus cf californicus, adult or subadult female. The wasp held the paralyzed folding trapdoor spider upright, grasping the base of its rear coxa with her mandibles (Tan, 2020; M. Hedin, San Diego State University, San Diego, CA, 2020 pers. comm.) .

CA: San Mateo County, Purisima Creek Redwoods Preserve (350 m elevation); 20 May 2020; D. Antonaccio (earth_tide). Host: Aliatypus cf californicus, adult or subadult (sex unknown). Two photographs show the wasp halfway out of the host spider’s trapdoor retreat, attempting to pull the paralyzed folding trapdoor spider, ventral side upward, into its burrow, grasping the base of its right posterior lateral spinneret with her mandibles ( Antonaccio 2020; M. Hedin, San Diego State University, San Diego, CA, 2020 pers. comm.) .

OR: Baker County, Baker; 7 April 1966 or 1967; F. Coyle. Host: Antrodiaetus hageni , subadult female. Both wasp and folding trapdoor spider were collected together, no further data ( Coyle 1971).
