Leucospis africana is recorded from the Afrotropical ( Burundi, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe) and Palaearctic ( Saudi Arabia) regions. None of the hosts ( Megachilidae : Megachile spinarum COCKERELL, 1937 and Serapista denticulata (SMITH, 1854)) is known from Eritrea ( MADL 2019).
