strigatus ( Fallén) , 1817: 61 ( Pipiza strigata ). Europe, introduced in Australia and North America. funeralis Meigen, 1822: 208 . Europe, introduced in Australia, North America and Colombia. tuberculatus Rondani, 1857: 93 .
Rather than preserve a widely used name ( tuberculatus Rondani ), Speight and others (1998) opted to use the senior synonym for this common pest species.
