Dorsal shield of female reticulate, 336 (318–361) long and 160 (148–175) wide. Setal lengths: j1 21 (16–24), j3 49 (41–56), j4 42 (35–42), j5 44 (37–51), j6 52 (45–65), J2 52 (45–57), J5 11 (8–13), z2 45 (38–57), z4 51 (51–57), z5 36 (29–43), Z1 53 (45–62), Z4 67 (59–73), Z5 72 (64–80), s4 63 (52–70), S2 59 (52–68), S4 33 (27–45), S5 28 (19–35), r3 30 (25–40) and R1 31 (19–45). Peritreme extending forward almost to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 60 (51–70), st2–st2 60 (56–64), st5–st5 63 (56–73). Ventrianal shield 115 (102–130) long, 85 (75–92) wide at level of Zv2 and 75 (65–92) wide at anus level. Spermathecal calyx cup-shaped, 13 (10–17) long; atrium small, nodular. Fixed cheliceral digit 22 (21–22) long, with six teeth; movable digit 24 (22–25) long, with two teeth. Macroseta only on leg IV, sharp-tipped; StIV 48 (38–57) .

Distribution elsewhere. Argentina, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Kenya, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela.
Remarks. Species described from Brazil. The measurements of the specimens examined are similar to those of the redescriptions of N. idaeus by Moraes & McMurtry (1983) and Tixier et al. (2011). Species widely distributed in
Brazil, differently form Neoseiulus fallacis (Garman) , its closest species, found only in S„o Paulo State and further south.
