The morphological information provided by De Leon (1967) and our measurements of the holotype of T. amilus View in CoL (in square brackets) are provided subsequently. Dorsal shield of female reticulated, 317 [293] long and 183 [185] wide. Setal lengths: j1 19 [15], j3 20 [20], j4 12 [13], j5 [12], j6 [13], J2 16 [15], J5 [7], z2 17 [17], z4 17[18], Z1 18 [16], Z4 33 [32], Z5 58 [60], s4 25 [24], S2 21 [19], S4 18 [18], S5 14 [14], r3 [10], R1 [13] [lengths of j5, j6, J5, z5, r3 and R1 not provided by De Leon (1967)]. Peritreme extending to level between j1. Distances between st1–st3 [56], st2–st2 [66], st5–st5 [67]. Ventrianal shield 101 [100] long, 96 [97] wide at level of Jv2 and [77] at anus level. Spermathecal calyx trumpet-shaped, slender for about half of its total length, 24 [20] long; atrium bulbous. Fixed cheliceral digit 27 [24] long, with nine [12] teeth; movable digit 28 [28] long, with three [three] teeth. Macrosetae on legs I-IV, knobbed; SgeI 16 [18], SgeII 14 [14], SgeIII 20 [20], StiIII [15], SgeIV 29 [30], StiIV 14 [13] and StIV 34 [34].

Distribution in Brazil. Mato Grosso (Ferla & Moraes, 2002a).

Distribution elsewhere. Guadeloupe and Trinidad.

Remark. Specimens from Brazil were not examined.
