Type species. Ingaseius silvaticus Barbosa, Rocha & Ferla, 2014: 92 .

Main distinguishing characteristics. Dorsal shield strongly convex, without pronounced constriction next to R1, mostly smooth. Idiosomal setal pattern 10A:7F/JV-3:ZV-3 (J2, Z1 and Zv3 absent, as defined by Barbosa et al., 2014); with z2, s4, S2, Z4, Z5 and r3 much longer than other dorsal shield setae and serrate; most other setae much shorter and smooth (j1 serrate). Sternal shield wider than long, posteriorly eroded, so that each st3 is inserted on a remnant platelet barely connected to the main sclerotised region of the shield; posterior shield margin concave. Ventrianal shield ovoid, reduced, bearing only one pair or pre-anal setae (Jv2). Spermathecal calyx funnel-shaped. Fixed and movable cheliceral digits with one and two teeth, respectively. Leg macrosetae absent. Male ventrianal shield with three pairs of pre-anal setae arranged in a triangular pattern; spermadactyl L-shape.

Remarks. The genus seems closer to the tribe Kampimodromini , but it differs from members of that group by lacking Z1 and Zv3, and by having S2, S4, spermatheca with elongate calyx and c-shaped atrium, and fixed cheliceral digit with only one tooth. This monospecific genus was described from Brazil. It is known only from the type specimens, reported from plants.
