Daidalotarsonemus esalqi Rezende et al., 2015c: 436 View Cited Treatment ; Sousa et al. 2018: 69. Diagnosis. Female: Gnathosoma : Palpal length about 1/2 length of gnathosoma. Dorsum: Reticulate ornamentation present medially on prodorsum, tergite C and D. Setae v1, sc2, c1, c2 and h unmodified in shape. Setae v1 as long as sc2 (~ 25). Setae c1 and c2 similar in length (~ 17), both longer than h (~ 12). Setae c1 inserted near midlength of tergite C. Setae d, e and f leaf-shaped, all ensiform in shape. Setae d and f identical in length (~ 25) and width (~ 6). Setae e shorter than d and f, and as long as h (~ 12). Setae f ~10 distant from each other, on tubercles. Venter: Tegula truncate, slightly arched posteriorly. Apodemes distinct. Apodemes 2 not fused to prosternal apodeme. Poststernal apodeme hardly bifurcated anteriorly. Legs: sensory cluster of tibiotarsus I complete. Seta tc” of tarsus II slender and slightly serrate. Male & larva: unknown.

Type material deposition: holotype ♀ and two paratypes ♀ deposited at ESALQ / USP .

Locality: Previous Records: 22°42′16”S 47°38′W, Piracicaba, State of São Paulo, Brazil ( Rezende et al. 2015c — type series locality); 14°47′47”S 39°10′15”W, Ilhéus, State of Bahia, Brazil ( Sousa et al. 2018). New Records: Myrciaria plinioides ( Myrtaceae ), 29°26′S 51°57′W, Lajeado, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil; Rubiaceae sp., 20°32′37”S 49°14′47”W, Nova Granada, State of São Paulo, Brazil.
