Daidalotarsonemus gutierrezi Suski, 1971

Daidalotarsonemus gutierrezi Suski, 1971: 59 ; Lindquist, 1986: 320; Lin & Zhang, 2002: 60. Diagnosis. Female: Dorsum: Prodorsum with reticulation medially. Tergite C with four transverse rows of well-defined cells grouped between setae c1. Tergite D without reticulate ornamentation. Setae v1, sc2, c1, c2 and h unmodified in shape. Setae v1 longer than sc2 (~ 27 and ~20, respectively). Setae c1 and c2 equal in length (~ 9). Setae c1 inserted near midlength of tergite C. Setae d, e and f club-shaped. Setae d slightly shorter than f (~ 32 and ~36, respectively). Setae e shorter than both d and f (~ 23). Venter: Tegula truncate, slightly arched posteriorly. All apodemes distinct. Apodemes 2 not fused to prosternal apodeme. Poststernal apodeme bifurcated anteriorly. Legs: impossible to describe based on the current information available. Male & larva: unknown.

Type material deposition: holotype ♀ originally deposited at ZMPAS. However, according to the current curator of the Insect and Acari Collection of ZMPAS, Dr. Tomasz Huflejt, the holotype of D. gutierrezi is missing and its location is unknown.

Locality: Forest reserve of Aganvokely, Manjakandriana, Madagascar ( Suski 1971).
