Type Locality: Brazil, Pimental, near mouth of Rio Jamanxim, right bank of Rio Tapajos.
Vernacular Names: White Marmoset.
Distribution: The interfluvium of the Rios Tapajos and Cupari ( Brazil).
Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Data Deficient as Mico leucippe .
Discussion: Subgenus Mico . Separated from C. argentata de Vivo (1991) .
